Joe Ferrucci is an estates and trusts attorney.  He has focused on estates and trusts as his primary practice area since 2008.

Joe prepares customized wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advance health care directives, and other estate planning instruments.  His estate planning clients include individuals and couples, parents with minor children, professionals and business owners, retirees and senior citizens, as well as California residents who have foreign citizenship or own assets overseas.  He has extensive experience planning estates for unmarried couples and California registered domestic partners.

Joe also represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in trust administration, probate, and small estate administration matters.  He advises clients on complex tax matters relating to estates and trusts, including federal estate and gift taxes, federal and California capital gains taxes, and California real property taxes.  He advises property owners on purchasing and titling real property, establishing and securing intra-family loans, negotiating co-ownership agreements, and handling property tax escape assessments and appeals.

Joe holds degrees from Yale University, U.C. Berkeley, and U.C. Hastings College of the Law.  He also earned a Certificate in Estate Planning and an LLM degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Joe is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of the California State Bar, the Bar Association of San Francisco, the Alameda County Bar Association, the East Bay Trusts and Estates Lawyers, the California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform, the Golden Gate Business Association, and Wealth Counsel.  He is also a panel attorney the BASF Lawyer Referral and Information Service and the AIDS Legal Referral Panel, through which he provides pro bono estate planning to qualifying low-income clients.
